Israel has stepped up bombing Gaza, killing at least 89 Palestinians in 24 hours, including at least 15 people queueing for food, despite global outcry over the deaths of six journalists in the territory the previous day.
Gaza’s civil defence agency said Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City had intensified in the three days after Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet approved plans to expand the war in the territory.

Both Israel and Hamas LIE LIKE PROS! Both also murder Palestinians or cause them to be murdered to advance their own goals!
News reports getting out of Gaza typically come from Israeli propaganda a/o Hamas propaganda, NOT reliable, nonpartisan sources.
Israel lowers the death count and lies about their own blame. Hamas elevates the death count and often uses Gazans as human shields, causing their deaths so they can rally support for Gaza.
If it wasn't for independent media (A.P. & Reuters) along with embedded independent reporters, I wouldn't have any clue what to believe and would hesitate to take a stand on Gaza!
As it is, I suspect nearly every report coming out and don't buy in until an independent source verifies it. Most of the time, the numbers of dead are somewhere in between numbers received from Israel & Hamas, but there are still too many starving and dying there! and when the independent media reports, there's "usually" more blame for the crap Israel does even as Hamas are just as terrible as Netanyahu.
Israel may claim that all it wants is peace, but they break the peace more often than Hamas does and they even deliberately trample on cease fires, even those THEY proposed and agreed to, setting off more war and more misery and death.
It seems that Israel basically wants ALL of Gaza and the West Bank and the Palestinians to Leave!
Still, it's BOTH Hamas and Israel's fault for the disaster happening there!
Hamas set this current "war" off in October 2023vwhen the ambushed and murders over 1,000 innocent Israelis just living their lives. That is totally on them!
However, Israel's 80+ year HISTORY in Gaza, the West Bank, and towards the Palestinians is abhorrent. So they share much, if not most of the blame for the ongoing disasters there.
So, anyway, my point is that who one sides with depends on what they consider reliable news outlets.
Sure it's left-leaning, but it's a long-time reputable British newspaper (NOT a tabloid).

I'd always trusted the NYT because their standards are quite high. They don't print extreme pieces or reporters who are dramatically L or R outside of the editorial and opinion paged so you know what's what is legit. Also, WaPo, in spite of many writers with a left-leaning slant because they also have right leaning writers too, on the editorial and opinion pages like the NYT.
Great media outlets have writers whom it is often difficult to really be sure what their slant actually is, particularly in the straight news departmens. So not being certain which writers are which lends itself to feeling confident that I'm not getting snowed by the writer.
Even those whom I know their slant are not extreme and don't play loose with facts.
Still, if you want to be certain that you are getting the entire scoop, sans any slanted opinions, go with Reuters and The A.P.
