More than 5,200 of those were children and teens.' So 72,000 casualties in America are acceptable to some people? Not to to ME, dammit. Repeal the 2nd. NOW. As to gun enthusiast Kirk? Posted by Skye on September 14, 2025, 9:03 pm, in reply to "Gun deaths in America " Valued Poster Apparently, to some people (like Kirk), those deaths are worth it to protect their “God-given” right to bear arms with little or no restrictions. At the same time, many of these gun advocates do not believe in a woman’s right to protect her life or health from an unwanted or problematic pregnancy.

We should have universal health care and other safety nets in a civilized society. Even in authoritarian regimes elsewhere, they have social safety nets. THIS current regime just wants to tear it all down and save only ‘the beautiful people’ I guess. It’s going to turn really ugly, I fear, if they succeed in their agenda.
