We dedicated the new parking lot. Part of service was held outdoors, and the other part in the chapel. Orchestra played in both places.
Our attendence is up to 30-40 people, from the 8-10 during the MAGA cult embrace of the felon. No prayer or reference to Kirk, the felon, or any MAGA is allowed, or took place, for our official position is no endorsement or mention of anything political in church.
We play hymns of course. But we also play secular protest and pop music with religious messages, and encourage the congregation to consider the words.
This Sunday we'll open with Nothing Else Matters. If you have not heard this, listen carefully. It is really deep!

"So close, no matter how far." For us, it is a perfect description of God and Christ.
"Couldn't be much more from the heart" Where do you love from?
Who are "we?" Could be anybody. in our case, in this context, we mean we are believers.
"Never opened myself this way." For us, that is the moment we accepted Christ.
"Life is ours, we live it our way." That's true for all people. For us, in this context, it means living for Christ in the way that works for us.
"All these words, I don't just say." We mean what we say. Don't you?
For us, we see "Trust I seek, and I find in you" to mean seeking Christ, and you're more likely to find that... and Him in somebody close to you, doing good, who earned your trust. Because in this life, nothing else matters.
Christ, or Jesus, or God... is a one word metaphor for what you believe and what moves you to do good, and be good. Other languages have different words. Some have different words for it altogether.
If you're doing that good for your own personal gain and glory, like Vance abusing AF-2 to fly the Kirk body... he isn't doing that for the good of Kirk, but for power of the felon which he and Kirk embrace and endorse.
A felon who befriended a sex trafficker and pedophile for more than a decade. Depth of his participation is unknown, and you can almost bet with surety examples exist in the Epstein files. There is no good in the felon, nor in MAGA when they follow him. The felon never repented, and in fact said he never did anything for which he needed forgiveness.
Remember when Melania read the Lord's Prayer at the felon's first inauguration? A non-believer reading those words? There's a word for that. Blasphemy.

Was just reading HCR's letter with the history of the civil rights movement, and comparing that history to the recent history of quotes from Kirk that Sia posted:

They seem to actually be asking for it to come to violence, with dt leading the pack. Now he is blowing up boats and bodies with no evidence of what he claims that they were running drugs... or it's just too bad if they are just fishermen, as I saw him laughingly talking about in a video today. My gawd. He is a monster who is surrounding himself with other monsters to do his bidding. And yet, many people seem to have not a clue.
