a lot of people in this country would not vote for someone like Bernie is that he is too honest and caring. They didn’t like Carter for that reason, either. Too many people here are greedy, spoiled, lazy and self-centered, and they are too afraid that someone else is going to get something they feel should be theirs by virtue of their presumed status, privilege or heritage. IOW… spoiled brats. And the funny part is that they expect spoiled women to go backwards in time and cater to their whims and egos and have a bunch of their children so they can leave their mark or legacy behind.
Then the DNC pulled out the rug and installed Hillary as candidate.
I still held my nose and voted for her, but that was on condition that she WON. Then, she didn't.
Then I was ready to vote Biden again in 2024, and they pulled the rug again and installed Kamala. Again I held my nose and voted; again, she lost. To the IDIOT.
I won't be holding my nose again..-greenman

Yes, agreed. I think that was a huge mistake.
Hilliary was not popular - she turned people off for various reasons. But the Dems had it in their heads that she couldn't lose next to Trump. Not only did they call that election wrong, but the election betw Biden and Trump was a disaster. The Dems abandoned Biden at the last possible moment, giving the impression that they were not standing firmly behind their nominee and that they really didn't know what they were doing. It looked like they were scrambling to figure out what to do in a moment of desperation. Putting Harris in at the last possible second didn't give the her a chance to court the voters. Voters didn't have much opportunity to interact with her as a Presidential nominee.
Personally I don't like Harris. I think she is very ineffective. But egads, there was no way I could vote for Trump. None. Zero.
So now we are here.
The fact the Trump got in the first time, even when there were a decent number of GOPers who were running thus giving people a selection, told me that people wanted change - big change. They were sick of business as usual in Washington. Hilliary was 'business as usual'. Trump was the hope for change to some (though to this day I can't figure it out - change can be very bad, depending on what kind of change we are talking about).
Bernie, to me, was a breath of fresh air. I didn't always agree with him but he had a quality that made me select him above all others. . . he truly cares and he is a fighter.
Now we have Trump again - he can't run again so he is a politician that has nothing to lose. And since he is of the character that he is, that makes him even more dangerous.
I don't even want to think of the next three years. Be the change. . .
Can you imagine what they would have achieved, given a Congress with whom they couid work?
The felon finally derailed her with "Pocahontas." But at end of the day, she was correct. She has ancestry, almost exactly as her grandmother allegedly told her. The DNA tests she voluntarily took verified that. You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
Trying to get it back will be even harder than struggling to keep it in the first place.
Now that I am finished with taking Prednisone (for a bad allergic reaction). . . my husband and I are literally going to run to the pharmacy for our seasonal vaccines. . . before Kennedy totally destroys that option for us.
Ship of fools - that is what we have become. No one seems to want to listen to the 'fool on the hill'. Be the change. . .
