Sinclair's offer to withdraw the suspension on condition he apologize to the Kirk family and PAY them is nothing but extortion. What about what Kirk said on Turning Point USE about Joe Biden being a stupid criminal who should be in prison waiting for the death penalty? Valued Poster I may have a problem accepting with what they have stated. I still believe they have that right. When you are a public figure and you make a statement that puts the company you work for in a bad light, you are subject to that company's freedom to run its business as it sees fit. The Bud Light debacle clearly illustrated that mass audiences can be turned off by publically aired material. In fact, it cost them dearly. Businesses are in business to make money. Money that satisfies the stockholders, that keeps their employees employed, and that is in significant part accomplished by keeping the company's good reputation intact. When that company's employees sully that reputation, they are subject to some sort of punishment. Including being fired. Including being let go for their inability to turn a profit. If they cost the company money, their demise is guaranteed. You wouldn't employ anyone in your own business that provided you with a negative income flow.
