1.Trumps tariff actions have caused China to eliminate purchases of US soy beans so American soy bean farmers have very little market for this years crop. In addition, China has entered into 10 year contracts with Argentina and Brazil to supply soy beans to China. This will have longer term negative effects on Us soy bean farmers. Ironically, the Trump admin authorized a loan of $20 billion US tax payer dollars to Argentina to help forestall financial crisis there. It is unlikely that this loan will be repaid any time soon, since the IMF has already loaned much more to Argentina recently, for the same reasons. The above probably is a good indication that Trump has seriously under-estimated the power that the Chinese economy has in the world economy.
2. The Trump admin has virtually stopped international food aid to third world countries. All of this food was purchased from American farmers. For as long as this policy lasts, it will have a negative effect on farm income.
3. The “Big Beautiful Bill” passed at Trumps’ insistence has cut food aid (SNAP) to school children across America. Almost all the food provided by that program came from the American farmer. The continuance of this policy will also have negative effects on US agriculture.
4. The Trump administration is currently rounding up for deportation thousands of undocumented workers, a large proportion of which are employed in the US farm industry. This policy will have the effect of reducing the labour force used to harvest crops, leading to both farm losses and higher prices of produce throughout the nation.
Given the above, how can anyone believe that Trump knows WTF he is doing.
Thinking people know that he has no flippin' idea what he's doing.
Especially since he isn't doing most of it. His pinheads are doing it and convincing him to sign the dotted line for stuff he has no idea is actually going on.
Not to suggest that he'd oppose any of it, but I doubt that he is the mastermind behind it. I'd look to Stephen Miller for that crap.

How fast can the US fall from world leader to third world has been? Most of MAGA will easily live to see it. It is possible the fall will either be complete or great enough for no hope of any kind of recovery before he leaves office, even if that departure is involuntary impeachment and conviction.

..they've angled for a new norm, a one-party setup where you extort political power by manipulating elections, offices, and voting. Newt and Limbaugh also pushed the hateful approach, demanding that people see Liberals as 'the Enemy.'
Trump is the payoff. The ultimate Stooge. The old ways are done; the only question is, will Democrats act accordingly, or debate ballot language over finger sandwiches and Martinis in the Hamptons?
Newsom seems to be catching on. I'll vote for that guy. RESIST!

Election of the felon this term pushed us over a cliff.
Right now our soybean farmers have nobody to whom to sell their crops. Zero. Farm foreclosures and bankrupty in the next year will be absolutely staggaring, and US farmers who don't go out of business have no reason or incentive to plant and grow any food crops.
