King Trump can't just do what he wants.
The White House is on the National Registry for Preservation of Historic Places, and has the same protections as a national park. Nobody is allowed to alter it, even in the most minor ways without approval of many agencies with that oversight. They are all lined up to sue Trump.
Can you see what's coming? He will run AFAP through Appeals up to his SCOTUS where he expects another horrendous 6-3 decision like his presidential immunity, giving him permission to do as he pleases to the White House.
Why did the demolition begin late at night? Answer should be obvious. They didn't have permission, and by first morning, irreversible damage could be inflicted. In daylight the project would have drawn attention and questions. Why were all areas where the demolition could be observed, cordoned off to prevent anyone from watching?
