I didn't know that Native Americans were very much involved in the American Posted by Sia on November 19, 2025, 8:27 pm, in reply to "Telling the Untold Native Stories of the American Revolution" ADMIN Revolution? I watched half of this before tuning out because there was too much yapping about how and why it was done rather than the Native history I'm interested in. Anything special that you learned from it that maybe I missed because of my impatience with all the yabbering?

But both sides would always cheat them and give away their land and resources to the whites settlers, who could bribe the government to do so. ChristopherBlackwell

A shame that we are not told the stories of some of the important battles that they fought. That is also part of our war for independence, we don't learn about. ChristopherBlackwell

Right! I grew up right smack in the middle of where the Revolution began Posted by Sia on November 20, 2025, 4:16 pm, in reply to "Re: I did see that line. " ADMIN and still didn't learn much about Native American tribes during the Revolutionary War. Only a little about the Mohawk, Pawtucket, Wampanoag, and the Massachusetts tribes pre-revolution. A sign of the times perhaps? Schools are more enlightened now. Speaking of schools, what I now find odd after comparing notes with folks raised outside of MA, NH, CT, VT is that we were taught that Benedict Arnold was a traitor to the revolution but a patriot to King George of England. While George Washinton was the opposite. IOW, it all depended on your POV. I think that was pretty enlightened thinking. So why not for Native Americans?
