"Carville weighs in on Trump: 'He's done. It's over'
Story by Ashleigh Fields
Democratic strategist James Carville on Wednesday said President Trump’s controversial comments about immigrants have begun to lose traction with voters ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
“He’s done. It’s over. You’re a loser, dude. You’re losing everywhere, and you’re going to lose more because you, my friend, are a loser,” Carville said of Trump’s ability to resonate with voters during a Wednesday episode of “Politicon.”
Carville ventured to put his hand in the shape of an L — a sign for “loser” — for the president. The longtime Democratic adviser said Trump’s remarks about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and the Somali community along with his administration’s harsh immigration policies will impact campaigns next year.
“He’s paying for it, and he’s going to continue to pay for it,” Carville said during the show.
“And we got to stop looking at him as some kind of political Svengali or political Houdini, or anything like that. He’s done. We just got to butter this toast and slice it and eat it. He’s done,” he continued.
His comments come days after Trump lauded his administration’s treatment of Somali immigrants.
“I love this Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but b—-. She’s always complaining. She comes from her country where, I mean it’s considered about the worst country in the world,” Trump said, during a rally that was billed as focused on lowering costs for Americans, as his supporters in the room jeered.
Trump later touted that he had paused migration from “hellholes like Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia, and many other countries.”
Media outlets, immigration advocacy groups and others have slammed Trump for his rhetoric.
“The fact that Trump would demonize an entire diaspora — the vast majority of whom live here as legal citizens or permanent residents — is beyond reprehensible. It’s dangerous,” the Minnesota Star Tribune wrote in an editorial condemning Trump’s remarks.
Carville said voters were taking notice.
“People are seeing this, and people are voting on this,” the Democratic strategist said."
He "pardoned" Tina Peters, a Mesa County clerk who gave felon election challengers access to Mesa County voting machines before votes were counted, tabulated and verified- an election crime.
She was not only tried and convicted, but sentenced to the maximum as she defied the judge to his face in court. He is a Republican.
He found her misconduct and lack of remorse very disturbing and told her so to her face.
Colorado is challenging the felon because this is a state conviction where he cannot grant pardons. He did it anyway showing his absolute and utter contempt for the law and states rights.
Remember he defended states rights when SCOTUS reversed Roe v Wade, and in other election related issues.
The man is criminally insane. You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
