New update on my Mum Posted by Jaimelynn on December 13, 2025, 12:30 pm My Mum is finally out of the woods. Lost her twice but docs brought her back. So grateful! I didnt want to give such bad news so waited for good news to share. 2nd surgery in a week was very difficult. Totally fused now from L1 to S1. Left leg still not responding to her attempts to move it, so lots of work to do to get her back to able to move it and hopefully to walk again. Just grateful she is fully intact mentally. Everything else will come in time with hard work. Thank you all for your good wishes, prayers, or positive juju, whatever your thing is. I believe that positive vibes matter! Be well. I'll update again in a few days.

I believe all members are kindred spirits in some way. Sia is a fighter/warrior in many regards. Definitely someone who faces the adversity in her life as a challenge to overcome/resist. Her spirit is strong. Sometimes it's worse to imagine what all could go wrong, especially if you are in the medical field and know too well what can go wrong. Much work for her to do, but glad that she is on the road to recovery! I hope the pain is manageable now and will be less as time goes on. Will she be home for Christmas, or in a rehab facility?

You and your family have faced a great fear, and I am so glad to see you on the other side of it. My son was so nervous at Halloween, worried that my illness would strike again (it tried to kill me three times, but apparently I'm too stubborn). I believe your mom has that inner strength in abundance Please let her know we are all keeping her in our prayers, and we miss her
