Greed and corruption knows no bounds... and no 'deal' that can't be broken.
Repetition that feeds greed

"Countries" are same as "Corporations" in that "enough" never is. Just as corporations seem to have an insatiable hunger for eating up the smaller and vulnerable, some countries follow the same pattern with smaller countries.
Russia wants Ukraine (back). Thinking they will stop there if not stopped now is wrong. If it acquires Ukraine, Belarus and the Baltics are next, followed by the "stans." Especially as the lithium reserve value of the "stans" become more essential and strategic. If Russia isn't stopped now, stopping them later will become more and more difficult.
However Putin has Russia on the edge of insolvency again. Cost of Ukraine war did it. Just like cost of the Afghanistan occupation bankrupted the USSR. It broke apart into many different countries, originally assimilated under and by the USSR. The title USSR acknowledged that. United Soviet Socialist Republic.
If Russia goes bankrupt again, at risk is much of Siberia, and China's Xi expressed interest in assimilating as much as 4,000,000 square miles of Siberia. That will make China easily the world's largest country. Currently it is about the size of the US.
Trump's talk of Canadian assimilation fueled Xi's interest in Siberia. A US-Canada combination would be slightly smaller than a China-Siberia assimilation. That part of Siberia also has the richest offshore oil reserves, hence its strategic importance to China.
Forgotten is that in the pre US revolution time, a corporation was far larger and more powerful than any country of the time. The Dutch East India Company corporately ruled the world.
Xi, Putin, Trump, Orban, Kim are all 19th or 18th century throwbacks corrupted by their greed. They happen to lead countries.
All this supports the understanding that when it comes to mutual life and respect of laws, boundaries, and property, you can't teach human beings a damned thing. A few rise because we let them, can't stop them, and they do as they damned well please. We suffer them again and again. Hasn't really changed since Caesar and the Pharoah. You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
This shows footage of Fiona Phil who had testified to Congress back in 2019 about Trump and Putin wanting to make deals with each other... in other words, 'you stay out of my back yard, and I'll stay out of yours'
