We need to change the narrative. Posted by Skye on February 1, 2026, 11:52 am Valued Poster And by “we” I mean ‘we the people’ who are interested in truth and justice…. NOT dividing us into ‘us and them’ or political parties… WE the American people who care about truth and justice and solving real problems… Like accountability, with equal justice and due process under the law… like how we address issues like affordable healthcare, childcare, housing, cost of living….. We need to paint a true picture of what is going on now, and what has historically led us to this moment in time. Charts and graphs with facts and figures often work well. It helps people to get a visual understanding of the various issues as well as the overall picture.

Not too long ago they were saying "We won. Live with it", yet now that they can't defend The Don with any degree of honesty they want to unite. Fine. We can take that. Valued Poster My granddaughter-in-law, mother of my great grandchildren, is of Spanish heritage. She became a naturalized US citizen in the nick of time, right before dt took office a year ago. But her father, who had his green card and worked and paid taxes in this country for many many years, was deported to Mexico for having a minor outstanding traffic ticket, and told he could never come back... tearing his family apart. So yeah, I know what this is really all about. Racism and white privilege.... and outright cruelty, as you said.

Valued Poster I think of my Aunt and her husband, who was born in Mexico and who worked for years in America for GM in California..he was a good man and a credit to America, but were he still alive? They came from Mexico and built their own cleaning company from nothing and became very successful. RESIST!

And… our father fought in WWII against Hitler and his fascist, murderous and cruel regime, who also believed in “God” and white supremacy. It disgusts and saddens me to no end, after all that our ancestors fought for… for justice, freedom, and a Constitution and bill of rights to provide for a better nation and more perfect union going forward, and a safer world going forward after WWII. We have always had problems in this country and in the world, but nothing like this. I cannot bring myself to even talk to my sister right now. She has been totally brainwashed by those in her church.
