I force myself to choose a possible solution every guess and use all letters revealed in subsequent guesses. I know my word choices may seem odd. Current events are big influence on my mind. Also it seems to me the previous solutions frequently have a close relation to headlines too. Process RIOTS and PENAL cover RSTLNE AIO In trying to deduce the next I repositioned A and thought of likely letter combos. U was the only vowel not used so far. I considered possible placements. Cross referencing with previous answers. AU combos were already previous solutions. I came up with 2 likely answers GUAVA and QUACK. A Jack of all trades is master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one. ... And many thanks for the masters in skill for setting our standard of work to instill.

I play to win at every guess. I change up my start words as an extra challenge to myself. I still have to consider all the 5 letter words I know and maybe learn a few new ones. " Valued Poster If anyone is curious. There are plenty of past wordle lists online. I just use Find on the page to cross-reference if my guess was used before I submit a guess. If I get 'stuck' in my mind I use an online tool to help me narrow down and give suggestions. ADMIN It probably isn't, but I like the challenge of using my tried and true process to get there. I've played 1,410 games and have 100% wins, zero losses. (See below where the breakdown of 1,410 adds up) So, I don't need or want to put more effort into playing or trying to win. As awful as I'll likely feel if/when I finally lose a game, to me, the reality and possibility that I will eventually lose a game keeps it fun. I rely on my own ability to figure it out, even if that means a loss. If it ever gets to where I feel guaranteed a win, I'll stop playing.

My method is a way of testing my own process of elimination just like everyone else. Often when I use the finder I come across a word I wouldn't usually use or one that seems unfamiliar, so sometimes I look at its definition and increase my own internal dictionary for future guesses at the same time. Sometimes my mind can see possibilities and sometimes my eyes need to see first. I am in no way guaranteed a win. I just aim to increase my chances every guess. I have quite a few start words I rotate through. I consider things like letter frequency in determining my guess. But I still apply a similar process like you. Looking for letters in the word. I aim to match 5 on every guess. I like puzzles. I like finding more than one method for a solution to things. (Like different start words people use in Wordle) Sometimes there is only one method for a solution to a puzzle. There is nothing wrong with sticking with a tried and true method you know. ADMIN I've been playing for nearly 4 years. It took me several months to land upon my chosen method. I fine tuned it over those first months until I'd found a solid path that works best for ME. Because we are all so different from one another, I don't recommend that anyone else use MY chosen starter words. Two of my sisters tried that and they just didn't work for them. Their thought processes are very different than mine. They connect to different styles that work better for them than mine do. So, no worries that you play as you do. It's all good. We all enjoy playing. THAT is all that matters. Not how we get there. I like to see other people's choices because that's how I'm made. I likecto see how others think. So I ask. If others wanted to see mine because they were curious in the same way and they asked, I'd share them. I don't mind either way. LIS, to each their own.
