God is not a He. The people who wrote that in a "holy book" were lying, for their own benefit of course.
If God were a gender, God would be a She. Science tells us that females existed before males. The scribes lied about that, too.
So... if we want to save the world, we need to dispell this notion of a male, 'might makes right' 'Father' God who plays favorites with 'His' children while they go to war with each other.
AI Overview
Scientific evidence suggests women may have technically "come first" through a matrilineal ancestor known as Mitochondrial Eve, a common female ancestor to all living humans who existed around 200,000 years ago. Biological studies also show all human embryos are inherently female for the first weeks of development before developing into males.
Scientific View: Mitochondrial Eve is the matrilineal most recent common ancestor (MRCA) of all humans, meaning everyone can trace their lineage back to one woman.
Biological View: Research suggests all mammal embryos begin in a "female" state, with males developing later.
Evolutionary Perspective: Some perspectives argue female-first is a biological reality, as simple life forms reproduced without distinct genders before males evolved.
Religious/Scriptural Views: The Bible's Genesis 2 describes Adam being created before Eve, though Genesis 1:26-27 suggests they were created together as mankind.
Fossil Evidence: The earliest known hominid fossils, such as "Lucy", are often female, although evolutionary anthropologists focus on population-level shifts rather than a singular "first" individual.
In parts of my spiritual seeking life I found people in various places in their 'faith'. When searching through Christian traditions I found a spectrum in every group that differentiated themselves. I found those who understood tradition as ritual behavior and others who sought a deeper understanding of their purpose in their faith. I always dug deeper in every way I could. I bought all kinds of bibles. I dug deeper into the source language of the translations. I found that there were a few who studied and questioned like me but a majority never read at all - it was family tradition to attend and listen and know the rituals for ceremony.
When searching and learning of world cultures and beliefs I found many that were not patriarchal in nature. Indigenous people traced lineage and inherited through matriarchal traditions. All genders had a voice in the clan and tribe. Some roles were very defined and specific but not for power or control. Even certain words in language were used specifically by gender not in the way we learn masculine and feminine words in Latin type languages. A specific word that meant the same thing but said differently by gender. Spiritually there was Mother and Father in the nature of things. A way of life was living in harmony with nature not conquering it.
In many ways beliefs are about finding harmony and balance of sorts but different in approach to achieve it. Some come from an individualistic place others from a pluralistic place. The extremes of both can become way off scale.
Right now it feels like the world has a lot of heavy thumbs on the scale. Many are not good for all and they are not traditional players in our historically global traditions.
A Jack of all trades is master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.

Sometimes I think people are just lazy...

and don't want to think too much. Or maybe they just have too many other things to do or would rather be doing?
A democracy requires paying attention to what is going on in order to hold our leaders accountable to those who elect them.
A theocracy is not a democracy. It requires having 'faith' in a 'higher power' that doesn't need to justify itself to lower beings. Instead, the lower beings just need to trust, obey, worship and adore the 'higher being' or 'higher power' without question.
Some people let this belief in a 'higher power' (with a kind of 'coat tails' or heirarchal structure) go to their head in a convenient or selfish kind of way. Again, it may involve laziness, distraction, deception, opportunism... and lack of accountability, especially for those at the top of this system, but also for those at the bottom... IF they have "faith" in this system and in the 'hereafter' kind of justice or reward system.
The many translations and interpretations, and their original languages are much more than the gender pronouns limited people need.
The "word" for God varies depending on language spoken. German is Gott. Spanish is Dios. Greek is Theos. Russian is Bog. Don't get stuck in language.
Many Christians believe you can't approach God or be with God through works. Only through Jesus. Problem is Jesus told His disciples at the time He was the way. No one comes to the Father except through me.
We have as many words for Jesus as for God. Which? Does it matter? Not to me. Does that matter to you?
Works indicate a good and giving life. Jesus lived that. Felon does not. There you go.
Our relationship with God is one to one. God never preached a sermon to a congregation. Jesus TAUGHT small group, but His relationship with each was personal. His lessons and parables were general, not individually specific.
Again, don't get hung up, or distanced.
So I see Christ in you? Yes In Sia? Yes. In Poppet? Yes. In Greenman? Yes In Trish? Yes In Christopher? Yes.
You do good and desire to do good. Is anything you do more important, or worthy than that? You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
If you call Jesus good, then no one comes to the Father except through good. That makes so much more sense than having to do it through a person. Some people are too rooted in and ignorant of language, or their language to see the big picture. They also tend to be verse pickers and choosers which they weaponize for assault on people they dislike. Safe to say such people learned almost nothing and are comfortable with it.
It is hard to find people eviler than the felon. His closest generals are allegedly attempting to steer him from a tendency for bloodlust regarding his war.
It is his war, not ours. Nobody agreed to it. He asked no one. Just did it.
You, Sia and others here say you're not Christian, and I am not about to challenge you. What I see is a strong desire NOT to associate with the many who call themselves that and practice so much contrary to it. You not only do good in that example, but it's also so comfortable and familiar you don't even have to think about it. You just do by nature.
I hope your broken hand is healing. It needs to be fully healed if you intend to smack the felon in his face when given the opportunity.
Spike Jones mocked Hitler and the Nazi. Smack the felon in the face reminded me, we need a similar music genre now for the felon. He, his goose-stepping Republican congress and gestapo ICE, their warehouse concentration camps-
When the felon says America's great again, We laugh because his ballroom is his pen! Not to love the felon's gilded golden place, "Yo bro, you know?" You are a fat disgrace.
When Herr Miller says we own the world and space, We flip the bird right in Herr Miller's face. When Herr Hegseth bombs the hell out of Iran, We all agree, he is not our man.
Are they not the MAGA men? Yes they are the MAGA men. They are FAGA MAGA men!
They got rid of lots of jobs! The GOP is full of sobs! Ain't the markets doing well? Economy is goin' to hell!
They have secured the border! They brought the land to order! They do not want the people to live free! Division is their only policy!
When the felon says America's great again, We laugh because his ballroom is his pen! Not to love the felon's made up orange face, "Yo bro, you know?" You are a fat disgrace!
You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
Spike knew how to mock scumbags like Hitler. If only more people had done so - we must remember that! Luckily Americans have a great natural faculty for mockery.. SAY ‘NO’ TO WAR! RESIST!
"God" being the metaphor for good. Jesus was a good example and teacher... but the "spirit" of good (or God) is something that should be within everyone... the ability to know right from wrong, good from bad... and WANTING to do good for the sake of good.
I don't know why they would say it as needing to come unto the "Father"?? Just some convenient language for patriarchal societies, I'd guess.
I've had the cast off for three weeks now. It was very stiff and sore for awhile, and still is somewhat but getting better. I'm doing therapy exercises three times a day to get the strength and movement back. Not so easy when you are dealing with so many tendons that don't heal that fast. How about you and your foot/knee/ankle???
Always loving, faithful, loyal, forgiving... just want to be with or near you. Now THAT is a true friend, leader and example.
I got to babysit a little puppy yesterday, mix between a golden retreiver and a husky. Such a calm and sweet little one!

Here's a story circulated online for many years.
A reason to honor and reflect on the time a dog spends with you. And why I will always trust a dog over a human in their behavior.
This one makes my eyes sweat a bit every time I come across it.
A Dog’s Purpose (from a 6-year old)
Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolf hound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.
I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.
As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.
The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker’s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.
The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ‘I know why.’ Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I’d never heard a more comforting explanation.
He said, ‘People are born so that they can learn how to live a good Life – – like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?’ The Six-year-old continued, ‘Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.’
Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk. Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you’re not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.
A Jack of all trades is master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
... And many thanks for the masters in skill for setting our standard of work to instill.
Both upper and lower are true

Like our fingerprints, each is unique, but generally all are alike. You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
