Hitler portrayed Jesus as an "Aryan fighter" who struggled against Jewish materialism and the Pharisees, adapting the figure to fit Nazi ideology. While sometimes publicly claiming Jesus as a "Lord and Savior" to appeal to Christians, he inwardly rejected traditional Christian doctrines, viewing Christianity as a weak religion that he planned to eradicate.

Hitler's views on Jesus were highly instrumental and ideological:
The "Aryan" Jesus: Hitler attempted to "de-Judaize" Jesus, arguing that he was an Aryan warrior fighting against Jewish corruption. "Positive Christianity": The Nazi party promoted a "nondenominational" Christianity that removed elements like Jewish roots (the Old Testament) and focused on a fighting, non-divine Jesus. Public vs. Private Views: Publicly, he used Christian language, but in private conversations, he and his inner circle, such as Martin Bormann, described Christianity as a "religion of fools" and incompatible with National Socialism, aiming to destroy its influence. Rejection of Doctrine: Hitler did not believe in the theological divinity, resurrection, or salvation of Jesus, viewing them as contradictory to his "natural law" of strength.

Hitler aimed to replace Christian doctrine with a secular, state-worshipping ideology once the war was over.

Given what he did, that is not surprising. His hatred of Jews came from his inner hatred of
his own roots. He was part Jewish and hated that fact. Demonizing and eliminating them from society could allow him to eliminate that part of himself. Of course, no one knew that about him at the time, nor that his own sexuality was flexible. So he also attacked homosexuals and several other elements of society that repulsed him.
Reportedly, he actually had some Jewish friends, including a little girl...
that he even hated Jews that much. They just made a convenient scapegoat for his own ambitions to succeed. He knew that he could use Christians to help him by stoking the hatreds or resentment that many Christians had toward Jews for not accepting their religious beliefs about Jesus. Secretly he thought Christians were weak, but publicly he said what they wanted to hear. Remind you of anyone? Kinda like the way dt talks about soldiers as well… ‘suckers and losers’ until he needs them to fight for what he wants.
Jews had been hated in Europe for centuries, partly for religious reasons (though Romans are said to have crucified Jesus) and partly out of resentment of their role in banking, even though ‘usury’ was forbidden to Christians.
As you went East the bigotry seemed to get worse. So they were a natural scapegoat for supposed ‘Christians’ who hated the Depression and economic failure.
Hitler, like Trump, found his scapegoat.. SAY ‘NO’ TO WAR! RESIST!
A major reason for Adolf Hitler's rise to power was the profound economic devastation caused by the Great Depression, which hit Germany in 1929, leading to mass unemployment and widespread loss of confidence in the Weimar Republic. This crisis enabled Hitler to exploit public anger and blame the government for the economic misery.

Other key factors included:
Resentment towards the Treaty of Versailles: Germans felt humiliated by the harsh reparations and territorial losses imposed after World War I.
Weakness of the Weimar Republic: The democratic government was plagued by instability and internal infighting.
Political maneuvering: Conservative elite, believing they could control him, helped convince President Hindenburg to appoint Hitler as Chancellor in January 1933.
Nazi Propaganda and Exploitation: The Nazi party used propaganda to promote the idea of a "national community" and scapegoated minorities, particularly Jews, for Germany’s problems.

Hitler did not seize power through a coup, but rather through a series of political maneuvers and legal processes to take control of the government.
