86f, 9% humidity, dew point 19f, wind out of the SW to 40mph
The place I filmed the forest snowing aspen leaves burned.
Another lost treasure may be Bishop's Castle
Don't know for certain because nobody is there or can go in there. But the castle is within the estimated perimeter of the fire, now approaching 40,000 acres. This is one of at least a dozen fires now burning in Colorado. All are multithousands of acres with horrible weather conditions driving them.
The Willow Fire on Mt. Massive is also zero contained and expected to burn around Turquoise Lake, and jump the lake, at which point it may threaten Leadville.
This is a sad day for Colorado. Meanwhile on a Facebook site for my immediate community, MAGA are rabidly posting about their intent to launch their fireworks IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD over our homes because that is their right. Anyone who suggests control or restraint is a "Karen." I am so sick of these people and their golden leader!
You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
Sounds bad

And no rain in the forecast?
It all sounds truly terrible there right now!

I hope it rains hard very soon. Get a weight blanket for your pup to help him get through the fireworks crap overhead. Hopefully, none will land on your roof or in your trees again.
