Not bad! Unusual, yes, but not for Granite-state residents, like me
Posted by Sia I've never taken a ride on an old logging flume ride though, NO FLIPPIN' WAY! That's just crazy town sh!t! But a walk through this natural flume is wonderful! Discovered in 1808, it's a popular attraction in the White Mountains, requiring advance online reservations for timed entry to manage crowds. The trail includes uphill walking and is not handicap accessible, but offers stunning scenery and a unique experience walking through the narrow chasm. Trail: A 2-mile, one-way loop with boardwalks, stairs, and gravel paths, taking about 1.5 hours. Highlights: Avalanche Falls, Flume Covered Bridge, Sentinel Pine Covered Bridge, Wolf's Den (a tight path through boulders), and glacial boulders. Experience: A noticeable drop in temperature inside the gorge, with lush moss and ferns.
