My ex-church is now fully cult who embraces the felon. That is blasphemy.
I was subtly and not so subtly beaten up for the last time.
What's left of them doesn't want to learn or grow. They want things as they want them.
So my classical music preludes are "weird" and nobody listens.
Why do them then?
The new corps officers want syrupy praise songs heard on Christian radio and part of the xtian music business. Singers who begin phrases with guttural utterances exactly the same as secular sex music describing grunts during sex and orgasm. The "feel good" they get is like that before and during orgasm. These people aren't bright enough to know that or connect A to B. Sex sells and sex in music sells better.
I won't go to another church. Christ goes with me, and I don't need to be in a church. Especially a church where I have to walk on eggshells to attempt to please confrontational backstabbing, treacherous MAGA leadership.
In a previous appointment, they dismissed the band after the band refused to remain in the service to hear their sermons. Kicked them out and then lost 80% of their congregation.
Look familiar?
They made it clear they prefer canned videos to our live music. They tell cute Jesus stories to soothe the MAGA rather than present truth. I can't and won't go along and participate in the lie.
Know what they were BS-ing about? What different kinds of ammo does.
I played Winter Wind. During the pregnant non listening and ammo BS-ing I followed that with the Romance in bB Mozart Adagio
My remaining questions are exactly when and how.
Today I found my answer.
Answer to that question is Friday. Our orchestra is also leaving.
These stupid corps officers asked a TSA friend of theirs who plays guitar to do music this Sunday. Not a word to me or any of us.
So Friday we're showing up to strike ALL of our equipment, keyboard, guitars, amps, peripherals from this church forever.
Beethoven described something like our feelings in his Moonlight Op 27 No 2 Sonata.
It isn't about moonlight. It is about love.
the dark side of love.
Despair, apathy, and rage.
If I speak for Christ this once,
it is to ask
"What have you done?"
