Minimum wage has experienced 30% inflation

since 2009, when it was last raised. Meanwhile, most everyone else is getting raises, and saying, "If you raise minimum wage it will cause inflation. Never considering that their wages and salaries might do the same.

Going through life averting their gaze from the consequences of their politics.

Sure, the same people are not making minimum as were in '09, but the ones now are people just the same; they just have to get by with 30% less real money.

No more letting the DNC choose our candidates for public office.
They're not good at it.

I just usually don't have anything to add to the conversation. Agreement is the same as nothing to say.

I don't feel like doing much of anything. I don't know if it's the blues or the blahs got me.

It sounds like classic depression bit your big toe and it's acting up nowadays. There's a lot out there available that can help lift the smothering gray fog to let the sun shine on you once again.

No, I've been talking to her about the pain in my neck, mostly. She said it's a crushed disk. But, between the ex-ray and the follow up it quit hurting so she said we'll leave it alone for now.

Your PCP is handling your crushed disc? if so, ask to be referred to

A general PCP is not qualified to make that determination to "leave it alone", but especially not with only an Xray and your level of pain reducing.

You need an MRI to know if it is a serious risk. A crushed disc will only cause more problems and by that time, you could end up in severe pain and your entire neck fused like mine is. Mine wasn't "hurting that badly" when my I went in for my severe lumbar pain but my neck was such a mess by then that it was emergency surgery to save my spinal cord. I was mere weeks from permanent paralysis and the pain wasn't "all that bad".

I am not trying to scare you, just to encourage you to have her send you to a specialist to determine whether it should be repaired now while its pretty easy to repair or to wait and risk severe injury when the crushed vertebrae causes others to collapse too. Because that's what happens if they are left alone just because they dont hurt "that bad" yet.

I can certainly relate. It's quite depressing to see the state of our country right now. I'm just trying to keep hope alive... hoping for a major shift in November. I really want to believe that 'we are better than this'... but it's hard sometimes.

I spend too much time informing myself about Trump's crimes, lies, rudeness, and contempt for all that is proper and normal.

I try to talk to MAGA friends and family, and make small impressions sometimes, but They're quickly forgotten.

As always, I stand with the young and poor so am being defamed (by establishment Democorats and other establishment 'thinkers') about my views. "Commie".

It's so maddening that people choose a personality they somehow like above their own interests and that of the nation.

All we can do is keep on trying. I haven't seen Bernie give up after 60+ years, so...
