I was going to spend a little for the other board too. It wouldn't load for me. Maintenance? Maybe my browser?

I know this one is used more So I dropped it here instead.

I've had a very eventful summer. Most of it very difficult. Summer handyman jobs are not so frequent. As winter settles in I'd rather visit and support this type of social media for all the common reasons and more.

Glad to see things are still active here.

BTW Trish! Belated Congrats! I don't remember if I said so via other platforms. I've been limiting my interactions there.

Today I went to the annual Renaissance Festival. I know performers there and enjoy the artisans and craftsman so much too. My old friend comped my family tickets to attend. It was such a gift in so many ways. My spirit really needed the laughs and wonder. My son in his new transformer chair was able to navigate the terrain he hadn't seen since he was 12-sh 20+ years ago the previous days rain made lots of mud puddles to navigate around today too. I needed the exercise too my cortisol has stored too much stress in my belly.
I now wear a t-shirt that says "It's not a Dad-Bod. It's a Father Figure"

It was so cool to see old friends from childhood make crowds laugh by escalating the crazy stunts and fun as kids with better humor and be able to earn a living doing it.
BTW They were on AGT and made it to finals about 10 yrs ago.

Speaking of AGT
Did anyone see Nene Royal sweep it this year? I followed her on IG for a long time. I got really moved by all her performances beyond her busking in Phuket.
I know its not everyones type of music but WOW just WOW!

Everyone seems to be having them whether financial, medical, or personal. In that, you are not at all alone. Not that it actually helps to know others are suffering too, but it helps not to feel alone in it.

Glad you all got to enjoy the Renaissance festival. My daughters and I have gone to them in the past, and one continues to go yearly with her peeps. They can be so much fun!

They were on AGT? Cool. It's not a show that I watch, but I'm familiar and see clips from it a lot on FB when I tune in.

I decided to continue paying for this board to keep it ad free and the extra goodies it brings, but not to pay for the forum.

For now, it's being held hostage for 30 days (like 20 more days now) unless I decide to go paid. It is all still there. I can see it as the admin but to everyone else it is unavailable. When the "grace period" is up, it will figuratively dissolve as if dumped into lye and be gone permanently.

The price was $45 a month at first, perhaps due to its size, but now it is $15 a month. However, I still don't think that I want to pay to keep a forum where so few posters use and predominantly outside peepers wasted inordinate amounts of time stalking, copying, and reading. Gawd knows why, but there it is.

If I took off the restricted admission of registration only, it might be hopping, who knows? But it's not worth paying for IMHO. I can't stand the type of posters who frequent the "sister boards" where there is no registration and literally, almost anything goes!

I would consider letting someone else have it because it already has SO many nosy eyeballs on it, but I'm not sure that I'd want to watch what it became.

I didn't see the purchase until waking up again a few minutes ago. It woulda been nice if he had stayed around for a chat or two. He's been off on adventures for some time now.
