Trump drew fierce condemnation over his response to a protester being physically attacked by a member of the crowd during his speech at a midterm election rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday.

The protester, a woman wearing a shirt bearing the slogan “Release the Epstein Files,” was shoved and hit in the face by an apparent Trump supporter, who also tried to force her to the ground, as the president watched the incident unfold from the stage.

Trump just smiled and accused the woman, whom he repeatedly referred to as a man, of being a “paid protester.”

As the crowd chanted “USA, USA,” Trump said: “He’s a paid protester. They’re all paid. They get paid by the lefties — in order to destroy our country. They’re scum.”

Absolute projection. I understand his crappy arena, in Youngstown, was less than half full, too.

Donald Trump’s apparent delight at seeing a protester seemingly being attacked in the audience during his speech at a 2026 midterm election campaign rally in South Carolina drew fierce condemnation.

It’s the second time in a matter of days that the president has faced criticism over his response to a heckler being attacked.

Fox News’ livestream of Trump stumping for Sen. Darline Graham (R-S.C.) at Clemson University on Wednesday showed multiple people heckling the president.

During one interruption, as Trump railed against immigration, the camera panned to what appeared to be a man being attacked by another audience member.

Law enforcement officers appeared to escort the protester away, while the alleged attacker appeared to remain in place, something Trump’s subsequent comments also appeared to confirm.
The president watched the incident unfold.

“Wow, thank you, that was great. Man,” he said as a man was removed and chants of “USA, USA” rang out from the crowd.
Trump continued:

“Wow. Man. I loved that, I watched that. Man. You know, I watched that, I saw that. That was incredible. Wow. That was unbelievable. Is everybody OK? Yes? Who’s the guy that threw that punch? Who threw that punch?”

The crowd cheered.

Just like the Third Reich.

The real danger is Russ Vought, who appears poised to implement a national emergency related coup of Congress, refusing the will of the American people, and empowering the existing GOP Congress to refuse to seat the new Democrats.

The "October surprise" is set for 3 January 2027. With virtual certainty if Democrats will retake the House and maybe the Senate. Coincidence that GOP and felon election fraud claims ONLY occur when the GOP lose?

What if they won? Would Vought implement the national emergency plan written about in Project 2025? The one due on 3 January 2027 when after the national emergency, the newly elected Democrats are denied their seats and the slim GOP majority implement a Congressional appointment of representatives OVER WILL OF THE PEOPLE is designed to replace Democracy with an Authoritarian Theocracy. I finally get why so many American nationalist evangelicals embrace trump. They justify this on history of God using evil men in the Bible for His cause. Trump is such a man, and exactly what Vought and his friends want and need, to cause a Democratic blue wave from which felon can declare the national emergency, and the Christian Nationalist Theocrats can move in and seize power.

Overnight the US disabled Ukraine's Starlink network, and Putin took advantage to heavily bomb Ukraine cities, killing mostly Ukrainian civilians. I am so tired of our felon dictator befriending Putin and stabbing Zelenskyy and the Ukraine people in the back, if not in the heart.

The amount of diesel he bragged about buying from Putin was sufficient to run the US for about 8 to 10 hours. Bfd! When discovered it was a crime, he lied and walked it back, saying the diesel was to help the world supply, not our crisis. Like that made it legal.

We see and pay the sustained high price for gas. We pay more for all goods shipped anywhere by truckers whose companies pay record price for diesel, and the felon's tariffs, passing those costs onto us. I am watching my household gas heating bill with trepidation about affordability this upcoming winter. From the rise I see now, I'm not gonna make it, especially if we have an abnormally cold and snowy winter like El Supernino is predicted. May have to quit bowling. May have to quit hiking too. This is the effect this has on us.

While DOGE carried out the initial dismantling of American government checks and balances protecting the citizenry from everything from disease and unsafely processed food to government seizure of private citizen records, it was Vought's idea to do this. Musk simply carried out the plan.

Saturday is a No Kings event. I will be there, and I will represent y'all, since I have the ability, mobility and strength to do that. I have no clue how many more will be there. I think organizers fear ICE and the DoJ, and MAGA retaliation by felon following crackpots who may show up at their homes to threaten their families. This is like the old Closed City concept in the USSR, where any defecting scientist's family would be targeted.

We're not powerless yet. I'm so mad at MAGA who brought all this on us, I am ready to sever all ties and friendships with any MAGA anywhere.

So WHY would a MAGA crowd be supportive and cheer about attacks on that front?

Ya gotta wonder what sort of damage happened to them.

Was it damage during critical brain growth in the womb that prevented them from naturally transitioning from the concrete thinking of early childhood to the abstract thinking of adults beginning at adolescence that slowly develops into mature, critical thinking?

Or sometime later with overwhelming exposure to societal ignorance, pigheaded thinking, and a rote-style education based on robotic repetion rather than an enlightened education geared towards developing critical thinking skills and thinking for themselves?

Most "red" states are terrified of enlightened, "liberal" education programs that teach critical thinking skills and encourage questioning rather than accepting the status quo.

Perhaps it scares them that their children might reject their philosophies and deeply held beliefs about the world? I suspect that is why they ban books and train children to be round pegs in round holes, forcing the squares and triangles to fit in or fail?

It is typically the square and triangular pegs who improvise and create. That's why enlightened education has round, square, and triangular "holes" within their education programs to allow children to grow into informed, intelligent, and more successful adults who are capable of critical thinking rather than crowd-following.

Teens allowed to think for themselves fully develop metacognition — the ability to "think about thinking" and evaluate their own internal logic.

They grow a much greater and more mature capacity to reason about theoretical concepts, future possibilities, abstract ideals (like justice or freedom), and "what-if" scenarios quite unlike their stifled peers forced into rote-style education systems that reject critical thinking and questioning the status quo.

Rote style education suffocates the natural growth of critical thinking.

During the early teens the shift from concrete thinking to abstract thinking (and early critical thinking skills) correlates directly with structural changes in the frontal lobe and prefrontal cortex. That is the region responsible for executive function, impulse control, and relational reasoning.

If students are rewarded with good grades and praise for parroting the rote learning that fits into the round hole, but "punished" for thinking outside of the box with poor grades and rejection, many will fail to develop a system within for true critical thinking and resistance to societal pressures to conform.

I honestly think that is what happens too often in lousy schools and those with rigid teaching that rewards parroting rather than developing critical thinking.

Edit: Stuff them all into an echo chamber named Fox "news" and "truth (actually lies) social" and you've got a perfect storm for low information voters who don'thave a clue how ignorant they actually are. Add trump's endless lies about his claimed victim-hood, enemies within, and fake news and they're his for life... Until the sh!t hits THEIR fans and life becomes so difficult that they FINALLY start questioning everything they've been brainwashed to believe.

THEN you’ve got some seriously angry voters compelled to make the liars PAY!

Sadly, let another scoundrel liar enter the arena and they'll tumble right back down into the rabbit hole they already escaped once. Without actual critical thinking skills, they'll fail to recognize it once again. But that's a worry for another day.

Sorry for getting off track here, but I fear that is the cause of so many people voting against their own interests and failing to even recognize the gaslighting environment they constantly breathe in.

Religion has a lot to do with the rote thinking and learning practices that have been pushed in schools and churches for centuries. Tradition shaped by religion has shaped cultures and governments for many, many centuries.

But the US broke away from the kings, monarchs and ‘the Churches’ affiliated with those monarchs, and created a secular government grounded in democracy, freedom and justice for all.

So now we have come full circle… with these ‘Heritage’ P25 people trying to take over our democratic government and insert their own chosen leaders and dictators to assert their own racist, sexist and xenophobic vision of how this country should be run, according to their religious or ‘God’ beliefs… ‘my way or the highway’ philosophy.

Trump is just a useful idiot to them. He does the distracting while they work in the background.

That exposure serves two purposes. First is we are aware of it, and we can't and won't wait until that date when they attempt it. We have to be ahead of the curve and ready for this.

Then if the Democratic majority is seated, first order of business is to put everyone part of that, from Vought and felon to our local MAGA morons, out of business.

Was this how the world used to be? Is that why religion dominated Christian Europe (not to mention Muslim countries, where it still does)? Losing a large mass of critical thinking would make democracy increasingly difficult EVERYWHERE. What a disaster!
