Why is a soccer team found guilty of cheating still winning the league?

This is happening today in the English Premier League, where Manchester City is being allowed to play - and lead - the league despite being found GUILTY ON 114 of 115 counts of financial and other misconduct by that same league.

And that's a Manchester paper.

Sports IMO is too dependent on big money EVERYWHERE, and
at all levels..but especially at the top. There, the money, stadium costs, gambling popularity, and TV expenditures make cheating incredibly worthwhile.

This is the age of the felon. Crime and corruption were normalized. While crime always occurred, now it is more abundant than ever. Especially cyber and crypto crime. Anywhere there's money, there's crime. Felon and Musk are ambassadors.

True in the NFL..true in (no cap) baseball...true now in college games (mostly profitable ones like basketball and
football)! True in IOC and FIFA organizations (Trump and infantino bromance)...

TV money from advertising, gambling and fantasy leagues...Middle Eastern oil money and 'sports laundering...'

You could go on and on. It's ubiquitous.

Man City is owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan through the City Football Group. There are limits as to how much you can spend on acquiring players relative to income, and for years City has been violating those rules and obstructing investigations of those violations.

It's not the players but the owners.
