"The Emerson College poll found that Vance held a single-digit lead over three potential candidates: former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The poll surveyed 1,400 U.S. voters from July 21 to July 22, 2025, and had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points."

So, why does this matter? Early polling shows early influence seekers who to support with their money. So, why does *that* matter? Given, Kamala Harris still lost despite having Five Times the campaign money that President trump had in 2024, there is no way in hell anyone who isn't an idiot would contribute. But that's where Democrats may have a saving grace.
Democrats' abundance of idiots as supporters, assures them even if donations are down, they will still have many people willing to throw away good money after bad.
