Was given an opportunity to watch another episode
of Conquistadors: the rise and fall. “The Inca conquest”
episode… made me feel shame with what the greed of
my Iberian forbears wrought upon the native population -

Stuff like, when the natives greeted the Spanish with
an “Hola” and gifts and the Spanish saw all the neat
stuff the natives had they would kill the natives and
take their stuff…

Seems odd that the atrocities actually committed
by the Spanish conquistadors and colonists on the
indigenous people turned into tales of atrocities
that were committed by the Spanish on the many
of indigenous people and caused many of the
people of Europe against the Spanish power…
