Once it was erect it began it’s
1 mph race to the launch tower.

Not to forget where the players were near the middle
of the 18th century, and how they had grown in the
following hundred years with civil unrest n who led
in the technical revolution.

Move ahead 100 years n the growth made n path
taken in Germany and Japan. Remember where
Germany was after that first conflict they started,
and remember Japan had been just this tiny little
island of feudal people who had long worshiped
an Emperor n a Shogun n had been busy with an
ambitious invasion of China n built amazing air,
naval n military forces that Mao eventually did
oust with the help of the allies and a secret
bomb or two.

We all know how that turned out for US when we
elected the military hero to b r presidential leader,
and then we elected another hero and we learned
to “ask not” and put the first man on our natural
satellite. Pretty cool.

Move ahead another hundred years n dern,
if we’re not in a whole new millennium, then
we’ve elected an actor to lead US, and had
two bushes, a man of color, and a man we
were amazed was still alive and, well…
here we are!

China has managed to become a nation, become an
economic powerhouse, put its own Space Station up
in space, and we’re bringing back ailing astronauts
put the in ISS on foreign launch vehicles n there r
still a lot of Chinese, even with a cap on birth

Go figure.
