The unauthorized Chinese biological laboratory was raided in northeast Las Vegas on Sugar Springs Drive yesterday, February 1, 2026. This operation is believed to be linked to earlier illegal activities connected to a similar biolab discovered in Reedley, California.

The raid was carried out by the FBI and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police after they responded to a code violation call that revealed potential illegal biological research materials.

The investigation started as a code violation case and escalated when authorities suspected illegal biological materials. The lab is linked to Jia Bei Zhu, a Chinese national involved in illegal operations in Reedley, California.

Investigators removed items from the site including vials with unknown contents, which are being analyzed.
