Tsingtao Beer is China’s most famous beer brand and the flagship product of Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd., headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong. Founded in 1903 by Anglo-German investors during the German colonial period, it is brewed using Laoshan mineral spring water, barley, hops, and rice, resulting in a crisp, light-bodied premium lager with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of approximately 4.7%.

As the sixth largest brewery globally, Tsingtao accounts for half of China’s beer exports and is sold in over 60 countries. The brand holds a brand value of 179.3 billion yuan (2020) and is celebrated for its clean, refreshing taste and historical legacy, which includes winning gold medals at international expos as early as the early 20th century.
