I had no interaction with Schwab on 5-7, so naturally I was concerned. I immediately logged into my account and saw that every thing was still there and no changes were made. I then called Schwab and told them about the email I received. They said the conversation was about closing a 401k account of a deceased person. I don't have a 401k account with Schwab, just a simple personal investment account and I certainly am not deceased.

I requested that a fraud investigation take place and added an extra layer of security for any phone conversations before they take place. As most everyone knows, there is no way anyone could log into my account without my phone in their physical presence as you get sent a six digit security code.

I asked the Schwab rep how someone was supposed to even engage with them as my phone was only in my possession. The rep said sometimes sim cards can be hacked. I don't even know what that means. Anyways, I'll be logging into my account daily to ensure nothing gets stolen or changed. This fuking irritates me.
