Their pollen is enclosed in the flower itself, and their stamen needs to be fertilized through wind or physical agitation.

At 90 degrees plus the pollen becomes sticky and cakes up within in the flower and pollination usually fails. Vegas is at 90 degrees easy now. With this in mind, I now go out early in the morning while it is cool and agitate the flowers before the pollen gets sticky from the heat.
