We didn't have central air until I was in middle school - but I also don't recall triple digits like this in the neck of the woods I grew up in. I remember when my father put in a window air conditioner.

I remember box fans - my aunt had one that was huge and the sound was wonderful while taking a nap.

Kinda odd the things we can take for granted now.
