Despite her criticism of the move, Green said she still supports Trump, and she’s allowed to disagree with him.

Highlighting the hundreds of thousands of deaths from fentanyl, the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45, in recent years, Greene noted that “America has not dropped bunker busters on the Cartel’s sophisticated drug tunnels, launched tomahawks on massive cartel poisonous drug operations, or gone to war against the cartels international terrorists networks.”

This is despite Trump vowing on the campaign trail to “wage war on the cartels,” not Iran. “Our country is being poisoned from within by the drugs and by all of the other crime that’s taking place. The drug cartels are waging war on America, and it’s now time for America to wage war on the cartels,” the President said in a 2023 campaign video. “When I am president, it will be the policy of the United States to take down the cartel just as we took down ISIS and the ISIS Caliphate.”

He further stated, “we will show no mercy on the cartels,” and that he will “deploy all necessary military assets,” including the U.S. Navy, Special Forces, cyber warfare, and other overt and covert actions “to inflict maximum damage on Cartel leadership, infrastructure, and operations.” While the President has followed through on his promises regarding designating cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and closing the southern border, it’s not likely the President’s supporters were voting for massive strikes on Iran before striking the cartels.

Finishing the wall is another. Unfortunately, Biden's selling off the materials requires Trump get a budget passed to fight on that front.

Wielding tariffs as a cudgel, Trump has brought Shinebaum aboard in a way Biden cold/did not. The two leaders held a phone call on June 17, which both sides described as “very good” and focused on security, migration, and trade. Sheinbaum even proposed a broader “general agreement” covering those issues, suggesting a willingness to deepen cooperation despite political differences.

But sometimes special operations wars and special operations diplomacy require special silence. Little has appeared in the media.

Still, 2025 has seen multiple high-profile arrests of Mexican drug cartel members, both in Mexico and the United States.

Here are some notable examples:

- José González Valencia, brother-in-law of CJNG leader El Mencho, was sentenced to 30 years in U.S. federal prison in June. He helped run the cartel’s drug trafficking and weapons operations.

- Emmanuel Martimiano Leon-Soto, a high-ranking member of the Sinaloa Cartel, was arrested in Arizona in April. He was the final suspect in a 38-person indictment for trafficking fentanyl, meth, and cocaine into the U.S..

- In Kansas City, 13 individuals—including 10 Mexican nationals—were indicted in June for a large-scale drug and weapons conspiracy. The operation seized meth, cocaine, and illegal firearms, including machine guns.

- Mexican authorities also arrested three individuals, including an American and a dual national, in Ciudad Juárez after seizing 110,000 fentanyl pills in a joint U.S.-Mexico operation.

These arrests reflect a broader push by both governments to dismantle Mexican cartel operations and disrupt the flow of Chinese narcotics into the U.S.

So meanwhile...mission accomplished eh?? No one is talking about deportations, taxes, big beautiful bills, or getting rid of cartels. It's all Iran all day...all the time. Americans are so easily distracted...give them a good war...let em' wave their flags and sing patriotic songs and no one notices that not one other phucing thing is getting done right now. It feels like...well like 2001/2002 all over again.
