According to a report by Farda News, growing numbers of Iranian soldiers, officers, and military officials have refused orders or failed to report for duty in recent days — as the war drags on. Some reportedly fled military headquarters and are now in hiding. In response, Iran’s military judiciary has issued harsh warnings to various branches, declaring that any disobedience or desertion will be considered “treason” — whether motivated by personal fear or alleged collaboration with enemies. Officials threatened to execute members of the Basij and security forces who attempt to flee.
