Good Morning COINS!!! I was even up before the birds! As soon as the sun rose I was out working in my garden. It is already nearly 80 degrees and the humidity is at 79% so they say...ouch! On the bright side - I am thankful we did not get the weather SD experienced!

True dat! I've got crows, red birds, titmice, chickadees, a couple of rabbits and the blue jays just ran a Mississippi kite out of the yard.

Kite...is a falcon, yes? I looked it up. Based on the picture I just saw - they are beautiful!

It's a hawklike medium sized bird. Very pretty. This one hangs around here for the lizards and frogs. There's also a sharp shinned hawk that stays here and snatches up a dove on occasion.

That is what I am talking about...they are always nailing the doves. Hate it.

Somehow - the dove population continues to thrive so there must be a few out there that understand self-preservation.

They build a rickety nest too. Sept. is dove season here, killed by the thousands, yet they survive.
