I see these Ads for online colleges

which offer worthless degrees

and think they are as bad Big Pharma propaganda drug peddling

I get a little peeved when they say they give up to 90 hours credit for work experience....

...what a scam.

We have a local college which had "group study programs". The deal was that each class was split into groups of 5. The entire group worked together and everybody got the same grade. The way it worked was that as long as you had at least one strong member everybody got a good grade. A few people carried each group.

We had one lady who got a degree and had a 4.0 GPA who could not have added 2+2 without help. It was a huge scam. They were just selling worthless degrees.

The main goal for the college is to collect a lot of government loan money...

...once they push them out the door - deeply in debt and dumb as rocks - they are somebody else's problem.

When I worked as a plant controller we hired a lot of temps who had 4 year "Business Administration" degrees for clerical work. None were qualified to become accountants and several were dumb as bricks. We had one clerical employee who owed $70 thousand on her degree and could not keep up on the clerical roll.

The only beneficiary is the college racking in the dough.

The workforce certainly doesn't benefit from these carbon copy degrees.

but people who work at colleges are people too
