out of nowhere a little storm blew up with 70 mph winds...not too bad for what wind speeds can get up to around here...but totally threw everyone off their schedule. And...the point of this post...at no time before the storm came, during the storm, or after the storm did radar indicate/illustrate/SHOW a storm in this area.
Now we are under an excessive heat warning. Yes, I know I bitched when it was cold...now I'm going to bitch because it is too hot. It's the goldilocks thing...it has to be just right - which means between 70 and 80 is the magic temp. If they hadn't ruined it - I would be living in Cali...that I guarantee.
So...due to the 'storm'...I decided to only fix two ears of corn last eveing rather than the half dozen that I got from the farm stand. Took COINS advice and went with the boil method. Had an ear of corn for supper...drenched in butter and seasoned with some creole seasoning and it was DELICIOUS

Good looking corn, with corn holders no less! Use to use those eons ago, now I just pick them up and get hot fingers. They are really good!
The taste was indescribably good

And the entire cob was all I had for dinner. It was perfect.
