Double yum on the Chicken and Dumplings. It's my all time favorite comfort food and one of the most popular southern recipes in the deep soth. Let's plan to have a dumpling making competition in a month or so. I won't have an advantage because I haven't made any in at least a decade and I'll even pledge not to have any practice rounds...you can if you want to. Are we on?

It's turkey I don't make dumplings from scratch I buy roll dough in tubes and then cut them in quarters so I get 32 dumplings per store bought tube I've tried to make dumplings lots of times, and it's always been a fail YOU WIN by default

I concur...I've never had luck making dumplings...

Yes, I saw your post that you were using turkey. Your decline of the offer s'ok. They take practice and more practice to perfect. Every woman in my family (grandmother, mother, aunts, neighbor ladies) made them when I was growing up and I watched. If and when I make them now, I use canned biscuits that I roll out, but you really can't beat the freshly homemade. I also use a hen, just like all those who taught me did.
