They mis forecast it again. Picture my disappointment. Temp 79 outside, 74 inside. High of 89, possible light shower around 9 a.m. I'm good.

and I don't think it is conspiracy to think it is being forked with...primarily by the Chinese...after all they were the 'weather balloon' people.

We had storms predicted all day...NOTHING. Supposed to be clear for the evening and around 7ish or 8ish all hell broke loose moving out of the south - seeming to appear out of nothing - RADAR was clueless. Hail again. Get this...the weather service put us under a warning for two minutes. I kid you not. TWO MINUTES. WTF? I went back to watching my movie and lost interest in whatever was going to happen outside. I was just hoping the hail would take out a hawk or two.

Was a vicious day yesterday - PTSD from the hawk raiding the nest of the robin couple that have lived around my yard most of the summer. I did get the hawk with the stream hose spray but too late - he/she had already dined. At least I made my neighbor laugh her ass off - she called and had been watching me out the window.

I need that murder of crows you have. They will run the hawks off. Every year in late July thru most of August, all the blackbirds disappear around here - then they will return in September.

My daughter and I were leaving for town the other evening and counted 18 hawks circling together for the dinner hunt...I did make a call to wildlife people who informed me that, while unusual to see that many together (as hawks are loners) that what I was seeing was young hawks being taught to hunt and that the food source must be rich in that area for them.

So, my father suggested I go to the sporting goods and get a crow call. He said I would need to get into the bushes or down under trees where the bird could not see it was me. I suspect this is just for everyone's further entertainment.

I asked my son to bring his drone out - got a hard no.

Now my plan is to wait until my young neighbor has a drinking party and maybe they can break out the pellet gun. Okay...probably not.

I'm tired COINS. I do not like being bested by a forken group of hawks.

I would imagine your neighbors get quite a kick out of your trials. Yeah a crow call with an owl dummy would work. It gets expensive.

When pigeons land on my roof and start cooing, I know they are looking to make a nest. They are filthy birds and will cause a huge mess. I crank up the owl screams and the pigeons fly away very fast. Just like the illegal invaders do when they see ICE.

I am going to ask for assistance to do that...put the owl scream and crow call on my phone.

I asked my daughter (she is the photographer) to get a video of all the hawks. She is working on it - if successful, I will share with the board.

Thank you for the phone idea...I will let you know how it works out.
