For the first time in a very long time, I went thru a license check - roadblock last night.

First time since Covid, and I burn the roads up.

One of the very few positives that came from the George Floyd scam was that law enforcement did tamp down imposing themselves on citizens via roadblocks, stop & frisk or knock & talk. I do not understand how a free society can be okay with authority randomly stopping people to check their papers. That is U.S.S.R - Red China shit. But I digress.

It was the state boyz. I rolled my window down halfway and gave him my OL, registration, and proof of liability. He asked, where I was going, so I mirandized myself. He didn't say anything, but did shine his flashlight in my vehicle looking for something to extend the ordeal. After about 15 seconds he handed my papers back and walked away.

If I were a cop, I'd have more important things to do than randomly stop people to make sure they are complying with the vast deep state largess. Too many officers don't have better things to do, and that's concerning.

But I'm legal, so his authority was very limited.

In Nevada, we are required to inform law enforcement if we have any weapons when we get pulled over if you have a conceal carry permit. They know before they even get to your window and that is usually their first question.

You were referring to a firearm?

I just went down the road locally, so I wasn't carrying a firearm. That is why I mirandized myself, to end the pointless questions. It's none of law enforcements business what weapon I may or may not have. If for no other reason, my freedom is much too important to jeopardize it entertaining some cops foolishness. They are completely safe when interacting with me.

On an aside, Just because a majority a liars declare this or require that doesn't mean it's a good thing. The political class is so dysfunctional, you've sworn off voting and I can't blame you.

It has been a while but it never really bothered me much...

...I just handed them my license and insurance and answered their questions. I was in and out in a few minutes.

Got stopped in small town East Texas years ago. The guy said they got a call that a vehicle like mine was driving erratically and they suspected drunk driving. I was polite, went through a quick "follow the light with your eyes" check, and answered his questions. Even got a laugh when he asked if I had been drinking and my young daughter in the back seat blurted out "All he ever drinks is tea."

I was gone in 5 minutes and hoped that if there was a drunk driver out there driving erratically they caught the SOB. Thanked the guy for watching out for us as I was leaving.
