Well the new neighbor has moved in and she has several dogs.

I feel the need to tell her to shoot any armadillo she sees regardless of the time, day or night. People wouldn't give it a second thought. Also to tell her about a paralytic rabies that came through here during a hard freeze a couple of years ago. Killed everything, rabbits, squirrels, possums, coons, foxes etc. I wouldn't dare knock on her door but if I ever see her outside, I'll tell her.

A person here called the police when she saw a "prehistoric creature" in her yard...

...apparently she had survived long enough in the world to buy a home but had never seen and actual armadillo.

They are road kill here

Their automatic reflex to escape danger is to jump straight up. Getting banged in the head by a fast travelling vehichle is the reason for their demise. Their eyes don't glow at night when under a light, just another interesting fact.

They were here during prehistoric times, just a LOT bigger.

They apparently get hit when they are crossing the road drunk here...

...a pretty good number of them are legs up on the side of the road with a beer bottle in their little paws.
