Apparently some Senate Republicans are pushing Trump to restore funding on certain foreign aid and the National Institutes of Health. This would be in exchange for speeding up dozens of Trump's nominations.

You've got 'em on both sides of the aisle. Messy, messy stuff. Being given too much political power is, in and of itself, almost always destructive.
