How can a person just out of high school with minimum wage afford rent?

I see a lot of people living full time in old cheap campers in my area. Land has went out of peoples touch after Covid. Groceries are are very expensive .I don’t see any end to inflation. I can see why people live in tents I feel for them and hope things turn around for them. I just hope Trump doesn’t put them in gas chambers for being poor

they need to attend a trade school

College isn't for everyone.
I went to a votech for electronics. Opened alot of doors.

By getting a job and a couple of roommates like I did...

...The lowest starting salary in this area is $10 or more. Most of those people either live at home with parents or share costs with at least one other person.

I had plenty of jobs that, "No one wants to do.." and made $$$

Those were our character building days and learning about personal budgets in the real world. Lessons college does not teach you.

I was a stock boy at Dillards department store.
I was going to college at the time.
I started college late, I was a carpenter prior to that and was making way more than Min. wage.
Working while going to college taught me time discipline and budgeting.

College is COMPLETELY useless now

Trade School people will be the next upper middle class.

Most college degrees that are not useless are being replace by AI. The best example is Computer Science... aka Coding.
