Birds/squirrels fed, mosquitoes killed, flag hung outside. Very slight chance of rain. Suppose to be clear beautiful day with high of 93. I'm good.

77 and 91 percent humidity..... My sis ain't gonna be happy today..

..over at the nursing home they cut the smoke breaks in half if the heat index is over 99. She gets real mean without her smokes.

I'll be transplanting my first Kallette today. It will be in my furthest south grow bag. It is currently about 4 inches tall. It needs to get 12 inches by end of September, or it won't get enough sun cuz the sun is creeping low in the sky and the neighbors roof casts a shadow. It will make it.

You had to look that up? What, you are the one who first told me about kalette. No, I will not let it go to seed, I will put it on the Thanksgiving dinner plate.

I will for sure let one plant go to seed, but not that one. Those seeds are expensive. In a few weeks, I will be transplanting brussels sprouts and other cole crops.
