I bought a melon seed pack a couple of weeks ago

In that pack were Alpine Strawberry seeds aka, Wild Strawberries. Anybody ever seen or eaten those before? The seeds are in my fridge cuz they need stratification.

Saw them as kids. Never ate one because they always had a spit looking substance on them and we called it snake spit. What it actually was where a snail had laid it's eggs on it. Haven't seen any around here.
