...I have to wonder about the state's prep here since they are driving around spraying the roads with a brine mixture but there are 10 or more hours of rain predicted before the freeze begins so won't it wash away?

If your roads were made of polished marble I'd say yes, but they're not.

How do you know what my roads are made of? It could be polished marble...

...I have seen what we pay for road construction and we appear to be paying for polished marble.

You SHOULD know every time you drive after a rain. That's how I know. Unless you've had wrecks and didn't mention it.
