I have been feeling the edges of the storm n
do not consider it a pleasant experience. I’m

I fed the birds and squirrels. My duties are done for the day. I won't put on my Iditarod suit unless I have to.

I was watching the weather radar and it looks like the rain in your area will roll out around 11 a.m. but you are in for colder temps today. I am praying that your power holds.

Here I think we are around 3 degrees maybe - but it is definitely going to be a day to remain indoors. I plan on making brownies, a big breakfast brunch and then I will toss a roast in the oven for the late afternoon meal. That is the entirety of my ambition this morning - other than keeping the dog from getting frostbit on her paws.

Nice to hear from you and amazed you're putting a roast in the oven and not the crockpot.

Once the sun comes out and melts any accumulation we'll be in good shape. It's going to be colder for a week but no rain and clear skies. You stay safe, it'll all be gone before long.

The warning here goes through Monday - but then it is a bit better for the rest of the week.

It'll definitely improve here. Still be extremely cold but all the moisture will be gone. I feel truly blessed. If we can make it a couple more hours we'll be clear. There are 84,500 people in Louisiana without power. I hope they can restore power to them soon as well as anybody without power anywhere. Been there done that. It's very difficult.
