I grew cherry and pear tomatoes a couple of years ago and made over a dozen pints of sauce. I still have a couple left. I have an immersion blender, but a regular works better, faster and less mess.

That's good to know. I've been thinking about buying an immersion blender but also wondering if I'd really use it enough to make it worthwhile. Now I have my answer, the less mess the better.
