If you put the mushrooms in a paper bag and fold the top once or twice they will last weeks in the fridge.

I learned it from my wife. They stay fresh for over a month.

Mushrooms and capers? Now that has my curiosity in overdrive but I'd still rather wait for the picture.

What I'm already pretty sure of is that it's bound to be something good.

Time to hit that Walmart? They do have pretty mushrooms. In fact, they have a very nice vegetable section, at least the Mini-Walmart here does.
