The funding was coming from 37 donors and DJT.

The left (the National Trust for Historic Preservation halted construction with a lawsuit) has fought DJT ever step of the way on the ballroom. As of April 11, 2026 - the DC US Court of Appeals gave the go ahead for Trump to continue with the ballroom project.

Where did the idea come up within Repugs inCongress that they are going to fund it? Seems like a way to further discredit Trump right before mid terms.
