No, Ukraine’s US ambassador, Olga Stefanishyna, did not steal wine or champagne during the shooting at the 2026 White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Multiple fact-checking organizations have debunked viral claims identifying her as the woman seen taking bottles in the aftermath of the attack. The identification is demonstrably false because Stefanishyna was wearing a silver ruffled feather ensemble at the event, whereas the woman in the viral footage was wearing a black slit dress under a black fur coat.

While Stefanishyna was present at the Washington Hilton hotel when gunman Cole Tomas Allen opened fire, there is no evidence linking her to the removal of alcohol. The woman in the video remains unidentified, and some reports note that accusing attendees of theft is tenuous since the dinner tickets included provided meals and wine.
