James Talarico is actively courting defeated Senator John Cornyn's supporters following Cornyn's loss to Ken Paxton in the May 27, 2026, Republican primary runoff. Talarico posted on social media thanking Cornyn for his service and explicitly stating, "To Senator Cornyn's supporters: you have a place in our campaign," framing the upcoming general election as a choice between public service and Paxton's alleged corruption.

If Talarico posted food pictures here, you would never see meat first

He's a Vegan and calls him campaign an anti meat campaign.

I don't usually involve myself in other people's disputes but I am going to here. I have nothing against TEXRA, he works hard at being funny but there have been times when he, too, has crossed lines, including a couple recently involving me. Small beans, he's out for reactions which are wasted on me. Other times, some of his comments have been unspeakably cruel, calling for extreme harm to others. TEXRA knows this. Accountability is a two-way street. If you're going to 'dish it out' then you need to learn to 'take it.' I believe you'd agree. JMHO.

I don’t follow everyone’s post so I am not aware of your situation. I greatly value your opinion because I believe you’re a good person.

It was not a mistake. Eliminating the filibuster, which Cornyn refused to do...

...will open up a huge opportunity for Democrats if they get control of the Senate in the future.

Eliminating the filibuster will be the very first things the dems would do if they gained control.

I appreciate that. I've lived one heck of a life with memories galore but these days I'm living a quiet, peaceful one and am more inclined to just sit back and observe all the shenanigans. JS has been my mentor here from day one and after 3 1/2 years, I've come to respect him and vice versa. I consider us to be close board friends. None of us are perfect, not even one. Time to carry on.

There were several Democrats who refused to eliminate the filibuster...
